now resides
in Orange Beach,
Alabama after weathering a couple of
hurricanes in the Florida
panhandle. He likes to catch between 18-and-20-hours
a day from the
comfort of his favorite green shag and appears less than
excited upon his awaking for this photo shoot. We at Shag
are quite envious of the shaggie do and the lifestyle.
Trixie
and Truffles
These rock stars also reside in Florida. According to their
caretaker, Allison, Truffles got his name "because when he
was a puppy with his big
brown eyes and black nose all I could think of was a
box of Truffles."
The name serves him
right as Truffles has a bad habit of
"breaking into boxes of chocolate and even figured out how
to break into a cabinet for a marzipan bar." And according
to Allison, "despite what you have heard about dogs and
chocolate he has survived many a box."
Seems obvious that Trixie is the brains
and most likely one of those "instigator types." You know,
the one that "never gets caught." Either way, we at
Shag love the shaggie do's and believe Trixie and Truffles
perfectly complement their Pink (18-41) shag area rug. We
only have one question. Where are the shades?
Here's one for ya.
Schnitzle.
This varment was hit by a car on the busy highway outside
Shag Carpet Company a couple of years back. She was torn up pretty bad
but after a 3-day hospital stay and a few hundred bucks
later she moved in with
us for a couple of weeks. We
named her Schnitzle (as in "weiner..."). Our cats were
beginning to warm up to her (they were raised with a
Rottweiler) so this wasn't too overwhelming. Schnitzle had
never had her tail clipped and Snuggles, our oldest feline,
was beginning to zero in on it as Schnitzle was constantly
using her tail as a drumstick and drumming on the floor. Schnitz
however was able to escape Snuggles rath when her rightful owner claimed her. We still miss this
little hoodlum as she truly stole our hearts before we had a
clue. We didn't get a
real feel for whether she liked our shag rugs, as she seemed
to like the couch much more. Go figure.
